Meet our Amazing Team!

Rebecca Hammel, FNP-C
Rebecca is a Family Nurse Practitioner and our Clinical Director. She has a background in nutrition and her passion now lies in all-things gut health. Because the gut microbiome plays such an integral role in our health, she finds it is often the most important place to start when addressing inflammation and its downstream effects on everything from the bowels to the skin, brain, joints, immune system etc. She believes in prescribing medications when necessary but understands the role of supplements and alternative treatments as well. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys pretty much anything outdoors and is currently training for her first triathlon. She is originally from California but moved to Nashville where she completed her Master’s degree at Vanderbilt University.

Athena Reese, PA-C
Athena is a certified Physician Assistant originating from Huntsville, AL. She graduated with her master’s in PA studies from Lipscomb University and has been serving the Nashville community ever since. Athena has a background in microbiology that has grown into a passion for infectious disease and HIV treatment. As an LGBTQ ally, she strives to provide the upmost care and compassion to all of her patients. In her free time she enjoys working in her garden and playing with her two dogs.

David C.A. Chunn, M.D.
Dr. Chunn is a licensed Internal Medicine physician originally from North Carolina who now calls Nashville home. Dr. Chunn is married with four children and two dogs. In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies and sports with his family and exercising. Supervising M.D., but he currently does not see patients in the clinic.

Lisbeth
Lisbeth is our Practice Manager, and the friendly voice and face behind our Riverside Village Clinic. She is the liaison between our valued patients and excellent clinical staff. She has been a Nashvillian since 1999, and has lived in east N’ville since 2001. She and her family currently reside in Inglewood, and she loves being close to her work, her daughters’ schools, and interacting with her home community on a daily basis. She comes to us with over 6 years of medical admin. background, and prior to that, 14 yrs. of outside sales experience. She is originally from Huntsville, AL, and graduated from college in Birmingham, AL. She loves being part of her local community and supporting privately owned businesses. You may find her around @ some of her favorite local venues on the eastside, where she and her family enjoy spending most of their time.

Christa
Christa graduated in 2008 from National College of Business with an Associates degree in Medical Assistant. She has been working in family practice for ten years and enjoys meeting people from different cultures and learning their backgrounds. She has a strong passion of caring for others and tries to give the best patient service possible. She likes to promote a positive work environment and is committed to assisting the providers and fellow co-workers to ensure that each day runs efficiently and effectively.
