International Market & Restaurant

In 1975 Win and Patti Myint opened International Market & Restaurant located at 2010 Belmont Blvd. After almost 45 years of feeding generations of Belmont University students, introducing so many Nashvillians to their first taste of legit Thai cuisine, and providing a welcoming space for neighbors, day laborers and culinary tourists to experience one of the earliest multicultural dining experiences in Nashville, the 2010 location closed its doors on July 31, 2018.

Win and Patti’s children, Arnold and Anna, plan to move International Market across the street from the original location to 2013 Belmont Blvd. Arnold has spent years studying (and then teaching) at culinary schools while also earning a reputation as a popular celebrity chef from his frequent appearances on television cooking shows — including Top Chef and Food Network Star. Anna has concentrated on front-of-house operations and recently earned her MBA at Vanderbilt’s Owen School of Management. The brother-and-sister team plan to take the cherished cuisine to a new level of excellent flavors to its new location, for decades to come.
