I was born in Toledo, Ohio and moved to Miami, Florida as a child where I attended elementary school through High School in Miami, while spending as much time as possible in the Florida Keys. After graduating High School, I enlisted in the United States Army where I served a total of 8 years as a linguist, helicopter mechanic and sergeant for the 101st Aviation Brigade at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
After being honorably discharged in 1998, I moved to Nashville, Tennessee to take a job as a police officer with the Metro Nashville Police Department. There I worked as a patrol officer, crime scene investigator and as a patrol supervisor (sergeant). As a police officer, I worked hundreds of calls relating to domestic issues, burglaries, robberies, homicides and kidnappings, to name a few. I have also worked directly on, and testified in, over a dozen murder trials both as a police officer and as a crime scene investigator.
In 2006, I made the choice to leave the police department to attend law school full time while working at a high-volume downtown law firm. The experience I gained while working at this type of firm, along with my years of experience as a police officer, has given me a unique perspective when analyzing various legal issues. I have also been fortunate enough to develop some very good relationships in the legal profession over the past 20 years that provide me valuable knowledge and insight that I use to help all of my clients. Now I dedicate my life and my practice to helping anyone in need of sound and aggressive representation in legal matters both criminal and civil.
