In 1952, across the street from the Alamo in San Antonio, TX, George W. Church opened the first Church’s Fried Chicken To-Go. With crispy goodness, hand-crafted flavor, a can-do attitude, Churchie the loveable mascot and a jalapeño pepper on the side – George planted the seeds for what would one day become a world-renowned franchise.
Fast-forward seven decades of deliciousness and over one billion served, Church’s Chicken now spans the globe with franchises open for business worldwide. Along the way, we’ve had a few new looks, campaigns and leaders – but our commitment to authentic down home flavor remains the same.
Today, tomorrow and beyond, we’re proud to build on George W. Church’s legacy by Bringin’ That Down Home Flavor™ to our guests every single day. No days off. No compromises. Just delicious comfort food and full belly bliss to every hungry mouth that comes through our doors. But we’re not one to hang our hats on our successes. Because down home, your kitchen is only as good as its last meal.
